Antonia's Lofaso invites you to explore her inner world by the food she cooks. It is her food that inspires curiosity. This was the result after she stepped outside of the Long Island suburbs and entered the rich cultural scene in Los Angeles. Carnitas, Cavatelli and different dishes are all available within a menu. Scopa Italian Roots, which Lofaso established in 2013 was well-received because it was inspired by her Italian tradition. Lofaso has been described by many as a local favorite who consistently delivers food that's authentic, delicious and welcoming. Lofaso studied from chefs with sophisticated cooking techniques. However, she didn't hesitate to take extreme chances to honor her intuition. She quickly rose through the ranks of Wolfgang Puck's Spago, and then went into working closely with celebs in several Los Angeles kitchens. Lofaso launched Black Market Liquor Bar with Sal Aurora and Mario Guddemi in Studio City, California. The bar was eventually able to get a place within Black Market as well as her partnerships. This collaboration would foster the freedom of expression Lofaso longed for. Black Market doesn't have one distinct focus. It's their goal. The first course could be chip dill, followed by shishitos peppers. Next comes the Korean wing and finally a meatball course. Antonia provides the overwhelming range of flavors. Lofaso in her entire professional career, has evaluated her performance by the degree to which she knows her target audiences. In addition, she remains in the same place she was. In the course of her career, both Top Chef Chicago episode and Top Chef: All Stars emphasized her ability to express herself outside the cooking environment. In the years since she's maintained her work in front of cameras, including judge on CNBC's Restaurant Startup Judge and recurring appearances on Food Network's Cutthroat Kitchen Man vs. Child. In 2012, Lofaso was a part of Penguin to publish The Busy Mom's Cookbook 100 recipes for quick Delicious Home-cooked Meals The book also recounts the challenges she overcame while studying at the elite French Culinary Institute, and simultaneously caring for her child Xea.
